Itinerary
Arrival
Your tour package begins upon arrival. At Malabo International Airport, you will be greeted by a Nexo Travels representative who will accompany you to your hotel.
Luba on a bicycle
We leave from the white sand beach towards the historical monument of the arrival of the settlers. We will make your first stop at the old city hospital in ruins. From there you can see the stadium. Afterward, we will go to the Luba chapel and see the old town. That includes from where the Magazine River begins to where it ends. During the tour, we will talk about the history of the town; we will drink water from the Magazine River, we will learn about the history of the Joneses and their influence on the town, we will see the family hotel, we will visit the market and the town square. Then, we will finish at the port, learning more about Luba and the slave trade. At each tour stop, you’ll explore alone and take photos.
Colonial Basacato
Explore the ruins of colonial Basacato and learn about the history of this enchanted place. We will visit the waterfalls and the ruins of drying plants and colonial farms, and you will discover the brief history of the colonial town, its houses, and ceremonies.
Flight to Bata Mbini
Once you arrive in Bata from Malabo and check into the hotel, you will spend the day relaxing in Mbini. sun, beach, and beach bars… What more could you ask for?
Niefang
Get to know the Fang ethnic group from an immersive perspective. One of our guides will pick you up and take you to Niefang. Your adventure will begin when you arrive at the town, where you will be welcomed by a traditional dance, Ndong Mba. Once finished, you will go to the river to fish with the locals and then enjoy dinner.
In the morning, you will visit the village, listen to stories while drinking Topé around a campfire, and finally return to Bata
Ndjanmanguila and Mecuyo
From the canoe ride through well-preserved mangrove forests, if you are lucky, you can see blue toucans, monkeys, or even snakes crossing the river before reaching the farm. Ndjanmanguila is run by a Combe family, one of the five main ethnic groups in Equatorial Guinea. Experience their daily life with them.
After this activity, we will take a look at the Mecuyo dance.
The mecuyo, a traditional ritual dance of the Combe ethnic group, is an exclusive festival for men. It is only celebrated on Sundays and lasts between three and four hours. Additionally, it should always end before sunset.
The protagonists of such an exotic, rhythmic, and colorful cultural manifestation are three: man, woman, and abuser, identified by white masks, the first two, and black, in the case of the abuser.
Flight to Malabo
